Showtime has green-lit a fourth season of its hit drama The L Word, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The show, about the lives and loves of a group of gay and bisexual women in Los Angeles, continues to be successful for Showtime. The network reports that, just three episodes into the third season, audience numbers have climbed 51% from the last season. Production on the new season will begin this summer; one episode will be entirely cowritten by writers of L Word fan fiction selected by producers from an online contest. (Advocate.com)
