Gay pop culture blogger Perez Hilton has been slapped with another lawsuit, this time for allegedly swiping photo footage of Jennifer Aniston from the film The Break-Up. According to the Smoking Gun Web site, Universal Studios filed a copyright infringement complaint Tuesday against his posting of the photo on his Web site.
The footage, which shows Aniston's breasts, was not used in the final cut of the film; Universal claims it was stolen during production. The complaint does not specify monetary damages.
The studio's nine-page complaint includes a copy of the image, which was censored by lawyers. The lawsuit against Hilton, whose real name is Mario Lavandeira, seeks an injunction banning further distribution of the picture and requests a court order "directing the U.S. Marshals to seize" the copyrighted material from Hilton.
A $7.5 million complaint against Lavandeira was already raised by celebrity photo agency X17, claiming he posts its images without permission.
In December 2005, Aniston filed a lawsuit over publication of pictures of her sunbathing topless in the backyard of her Los Angeles home. (The Advocate)
