Charles Busch revived his satirical thriller The Lady in Question August 14 at the Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor, N.Y. The comedy, set in the early 1940s and starring Busch and Julie Halston, is about "Gertrude Garnet, a glamorous diva and self-obsessed concert pianist on tour in the heart of Bavaria, [who] finds her colossal ego challenged when a handsome American professor engages her aid in rescuing his mother from a Nazi prison," according to Playbill.com.
Busch, who wrote the play, is the subject of the documentary The Lady in Question Is Charles Busch. He is also a Tony nominee for his play The Tale of the Allergist's Wife. He has also written scripts for Psycho Beach Party and Die, Mommie, Die! (The Advocate)
