Logo, the LGBT branch of MTV Networks, has named Lisa Sherman executive vice president and general manager.
Sherman has been senior vice president of Logo for the past two years and has been involved with such programs as Noah's Arc, The Big Gay Sketch Show, and the network's newest offering, Transamerican Love Story.
Sherman was also responsible for coordinating the first LGBT presidential forum, Visible Vote '08, a Logo-Human Rights Campaign effort in which six Democratic presidential candidates came together last August to discuss issues of interest to LGBT voters.
In announcing Sherman's promotion, Van Toffler, president of MTV Networks Music and Logo Group, said, "Lisa's energy and passion not only has helped build the Logo brand but made it a destination for the LGBT audience to feel empowered, reflected, and entertained by." (The Advocate)
