MILK director Gus Van Sant and writer Dustin Lance Black will reunite for a feature film adaptation of Tom Wolfe's 1968 book, The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test for Fox Searchlight. As announced in Variety today, Kool-Aid is Wolfe's story of One Flew Over The Cuckoos's Nest author Ken Kesey and a group dubbed "The Merry Pranksters" who drive cross country in a DayGlo painted School bus dubbed "Further" and take LSD and other psychedelic drugs to achieve personal revelations. Sant is attached to direct and Black to write. MILK will open on November 26 in limited release.
