Adam Sandler to Play Jack, and Jill

Comedian Adam Sandler will star in the romantic comedy Jack and Jill, in which he will play both the role of Jack and his twin sister, Jill.

Sandler also will produce the film under the auspices of his company, Happy Madison, according to Variety.com.

"[The] project was brought to Happy Madison by Todd Garner (Paul Blart: Mall Cop), who will also produce alongside Sandler's partner Jack Giarraputo. Steve Koren, whose relationship with Sandler dates back to their Saturday Night Live days, penned the screenplay along with Sandler and Robert Smigel," reported Variety.com.

Jack and Jill, which is scheduled to begin production early next year, will be released by Sony in 2011.
