From the final season of Riverdale to Mae Martin's first Netflix standup special to the return of the Scream franchise, queer stories and experiences are taking center stage in March premieres.

Next in Fashion: Season 2 | March 2
Next In Fashion is a reality competition show for up-and-coming designers who are looking to make their mark on the fashion industry. Tan France will return to co-host, along with fashion model Gigi Hadid, who replaces designer Alexa Chung. Season 2 of Next In Fashion premieres on Netflix on March 3.
Rain Dogs | March 6
Rain Dogs is a British dark comedy that features an unconventional love story between a single mom, her 10-year-old daughter, and a gay man. The show was created and written by author Cash Carraway who became well-known for her debut memoir Skint Estate: A Memoir of Poverty, Motherhood and Survival. Rain Dogs premieres on HBO Max on March 6.
The Confessions of Frannie Langton | March 8
Fans of queer period pieces like Carol and Ammonite should get ready for The Confessions of Frannie Langton. Based on a novel of the same name by Sara Collins, this four-part miniseries is about a maid who falls in love with her employer and is accused of her murder. The Confessions of Frannie Langton will be available on Prime Video and BritBox channel on March 8.
Scream VI | March 10
In 2022, queer actress Jasmin Savoy Brown made history when she played the first out LGBTQ+ character in the Scream franchise: Mindy Meeks-Martin. On March 10, Savoy Brown will reprise her character in Scream VI, and we are already screaming over her return.
Punch | March 10
We all love a good queer sports narrative, and Punch is just that. This New Zealand film follows a 17-year-old boxer named Jim on his journey to confront his sexuality, which involves a local boy named Whetu, Jim’s alcoholic father and coach, and an anonymous gay bashing. Punch will be shown in limited theaters and on-demand on March 10.
Bottoms | March 11
\u201cDirected by Emma Seligman and written by Seligman and @Rachel_Sennott, #BottomsMovie follows two unpopular girls in their senior year who start a fight club to try to impress and hook up with cheerleaders. If you loved Shiva Baby, you will certainly enjoy Bottoms because both films were directed by Emma Seligman. Seligman co-wrote Bottom with actress and comedian Rachel Sennott, who starred in Shiva Baby and also stars in Bottoms. The film follows two high school senior girls who set up a “fight club” to hook up with cheerleaders at their school. Bottoms will premiere at SXSW on March 11. It’ll hit theaters soon as well.
Turning the Tables with Robin Roberts Season 2 | March 15
In 2021, legendary TV anchor and out lesbian Robin Roberts started Turning the Tables where she interviews some of Hollywood’s most groundbreaking women. Last season’s interviewees included a number of queer women, including Melissa Etheridge, Josie Totah, Billie Jean King, and Tig Notaro. Season 2, which premieres on Disney Plus on March 15, will feature a conversation with lesbian music artist Hayley Kiyoko.
Rūrangi: Rising Lights | March 22
Rūrangi is a groundbreaking transgender drama series set in New Zealand that recently won an International Emmy Award for Best Short-Form Series. While Season 1 of Rūrangi revolved around transgender activist Caz Davis and his desire to reconnect with his estranged father, Season 2 will explore a culture war between transgender activists and farmers. Season 2 of Rūrangi will be available to stream on Hulu on March 22.
Yellowjackets | March 26
Everyone’s favorite thriller series returns this spring, and we are excited to see the show get even gayer than it was in season 1. This season boasts the addition of transgender actress Nicole Maines as Lisa and openly bisexual actor François Arnaud as Paul, who plays the secret boyfriend of Coach Scott. Season 2 of Yellowjackets premieres on Showtime on March 26.
Mae Martin: SAP | March 28
Fans of Mae Martin’s Feel Good can rejoice because Mae is coming back to Netflix with their own comedy special, Mae Martin: SAP. Directed by Abbi Jacobson, this special will tackle everything from Mae’s past relationships to the gender spectrum in Beauty and the Beast. Mae Martin: SAP premieres on Netflix on March 28.
Riverdale Season 7 | March 29
On March 29, the seventh and final season of Riverdale will air on the CW. Over the course its run, the show has featured many LGBTQ+ characters, including Cheryl Blossom (Madelaine Petsch) and Toni Topaz (Vanessa Morgan). With all the twists and turns this show has thrown us, we can’t wait to see how it ends!
Kill Boksoon | March 31
Kill Boksoon is a South Korean action film that follows a renowned assassin and single mom whose teenage daughter is coming out. Fresh off its world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival in February, Kill Boksoon hits Netflix on March 31.
