Peter Piot, executive director of the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS, will guide the agency for another four years, The Washington Times reports. Agency officials praised the Belgian physician and microbiologist's work in helping to promote HIV prevention and treatment worldwide, particularly in developing countries.
