"A celebration of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness."

Monday night's Love Rising benefit concert in Nashville, Tenn., will feature some of the biggest names in country and Americana music. More than 15 major music artists will put on a show to uplift the LGBTQ+ community and highlight the injustices the state's Republican-led administration is seeking to set with laws that outlaw gender-affirming care for transgender youth and restrict drag performances. The money from the concert will go toward local LGBTQ+ rights organizations the Tennessee Equality Project, the Tennessee Pride Chamber, OutMemphis, and inclusion tennessee.
“As a queer, intersectional artist and mother, raising my child in Nashville, it's important to me to support these wonderful Tennessee LGBTQIA+ advocacy organizations, working so hard to build bridges, reduce harm and promote equality for all Tennesseans,” Allison Russell, who is performing at the concert and who is one of the organizers, said in a press release. “LGBTQIA+ contributions and creativity are foundational to every genre of modern song and arts performance. I think it speaks volumes that so many in our community are feeling the same call to support, celebrate and uplift!”
Country star Jason Isbell said the bills "are clearly targeted attacks on Tennesseans who haven’t done anything wrong.” He added: “These bills add up to an attempt to eradicate a valuable part of our community and force good people to live in fear. We can’t in good conscience just stand by and let that happen.”
Out artist Brandi Carlile's The Looking Out Foundation is supporting the event by accepting donations and doubling contributions received, up to a maximum of $100,000.
