Cumming costar couldn't get enoug
When the New York Observer asked Dominic West, Alan Cumming's costar and one third of the love triangle portrayed in the Broadway revival of Noel Coward's Design for Living, about the role's biggest challenge, he said, "Kissing Alan!" Though not in the original 1939 staging of the play, the kiss between the two men was so difficult "because we had to stop and couldn't go any further. Oh, I wanted to take him! I wanted to take him there and then on the sofa!" The condition was apparently no less stressful during rehearsal, as once director Joe Mantello (Love! Valour! Compassion!) "called 'Cut!'...we just couldn't go any further."
