Fox picks up new show from Mike White (8684)

Fox has picked up Cracking Up as a mid-season series, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The comedy, about a grad student living in the guest house of a bizarre Beverly Hills family, is executive-produced by Chris and Paul Weitz (About a Boy), Brad Grey, and out screenwriter (Chuck & Buck, The Good Girl) and TV producer (Pasadena) Mike White. Molly Shannon and Christopher McDonald will play the family parents.
