New titles from Stephen Sondheim and Rosie O'Donnell on video this week
On Tuesday, Warner Home Video releases two very different DVDs spotlighting the talents of out writer-composer-lyricist Stephen Sondheim: the Emmy-winning 1982 TV version of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, featuring Angela Lansbury and George Hearn, and the 1973 comic-thriller whodunit The Last of Sheila, cowritten by Sondheim and fellow puzzle fanatic Anthony Perkins. Also debuting on DVD Tuesday is A League of Their Own, starring Rosie O'Donnell, Tom Hanks, Geena Davis, Lori Petty, and Madonna. Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment will release the baseball comedy in a two-disc special edition.
