Tippi Hedren, Suzanne Pleshette, and Veronica Cartwright, the stars of Alfred Hitchcock's horror classic The Birds , will make cameo appearances in the stage comedy The Birds: A Tail of Ornithic Proportions. The performance begins at 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, at the Howard Fine Theater in the Hollywood Playhouse Complex, 1445 N. Las Palmas Ave. in Los Angeles. Produced by L.A. troupe TheSpyAnts, the play examines the making of the movie as well as Hitchcock's motives, the stars' hidden agendas, the movie's subliminal messages, and everyone's sexuality.
