The Point Foundation will honor champions of LGBT achievements in film, television, voice, and theater at a benefit, "Point Honors the Arts." The Inspiration Award will go to ABC television network for its extensive portrayal of LGBT characters on shows like Ugly Betty, Brothers & Sisters, Grey's Anatomy, and Desperate Housewives, along with its other daytime and evening programming. The Point Foundation will also honor Adam Shankman, choreographer and director for such successes as Step Up, Hairspray, and The Wedding Planner. The event takes place Saturday, November 3, at Jim Henson Studios, 1416 N. La Brea Ave., in Los Angeles.

A VIP reception and silent auction begin at 6 p.m., with the award dinner at 8 p.m., and an after-party at 9:30 p.m. For more information visit PointFoundation.org.
