CW Yanks Trans Offensive Society Promo

A promo for the upcoming CW reality series High Society has been yanked from rotation amid pressure from transgender activists and the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation.

In a promo for the show, which follows the lives of socialite Tinsley Mortimer and her well-to-do friends, a woman tells Tinsley that she looks "like a tranny." Another woman admits to "using the n word" at times.

The promo aired on the CW and was widely circulated online. The show also features gay Manhattan socialite Paul Johnson-Calderon.

High Society premieres March 10.
