The the Jerusalem family court has denied a gay Israeli man reentry into the country with his twin sons born to a surrogate mother in India, reports Yahoo! News.
Don Goldberg and his two children, Itai and Liron, have been staying at a hotel in Mumbai for two months as they wait for the court to proceed with a paternity test to confirm that he is their father. The Israeli consul general in Mumbai, Orna Sagiv, said, "We are aware of the case and are trying to help Goldberg and his partner."
Golberg told an Israeli newspaper, "I'm an Israeli citizen. I served in a combat unit during two intifadas. I've also volunteered with the police for years. But when I want to realize my right to be a parent, the state kicks me to the curb."
