Sean Hayes's turn as host of the Tony Awards on Sunday has met with the widespread acclaim, including praise from last year's host, Neil Patrick Harris. Harris tweeted "Bravo, Sean Hayes! You helmed the Tonys with charm, grace, and humor. Very well played, sir." Harris has become something of a fixture on awards shows recently. Besides his stint on the 2009 Tony Awards, Harris also hosted last year's Emmy Awards and appeared in the opening musical number of this year's Academy Awards.
