Condom sales in South Korea increased fivefold after the team defeated Greece in its opening World Cup game on Saturday.
According to Agence France-Presse, which cited the JoongAng Daily, "After the game fans in celebratory mood bought five times more condoms than during the team's lackluster 2006 World Cup performance."
The 2-0 victory for South Korea sent fans into the streets of Seoul, among other locations, where they rushed into convenience stores and fried chicken outlets to celebrate.
