A West Yorkshire, England, police officer and winner of the 2006 Mr. Gay UK title has appeared in court to face charges of sexual offenses, including raping another man, related to an incident in 2009.

According to the BBC, "Mark Carter appeared at Leeds magistrates' court charged with one rape, three sexual assaults, and an attempted sexual assault. The 27-year-old, who has been suspended from duty, was charged following an incident at the Etap hotel in Leeds" on December 19, 2009.

The charges involve four different victims, according to the report. Carter received bail and will appear at Leeds Crown Court on June 29.
