Nevada assemblyman Paul Aizley wants employment protections for transgender workers in his state and says he'll introduce a bill in the 2011 legislative session that would do just that.
The Silver State already protects gay, lesbian, and bisexual people from being fired for their orientation, but Aizley wants transgender people to be covered as well. Aizley, a Democrat from Las Vegas, attempted to further legislation in 2009 that would have protected transgender workers -- it received a hearing but never went to a vote.
