Roger Stone, an adviser to Carl Paladino, marched in the gay pride parade that the New York gubernatorial candidate has called a "a terrible thing."
The New York Post, no fan of the Republican candidate Paladino, resurrected photos of Stone that appeared in a Florida newspaper's blog after the June parade. The photos show Stone shirtless with the fitness model identified as Kat ForTra.
Stone and Kat ForTra marched in the parade on behalf of Kristin Davis, the former madam and third-party gubernatorial candidate also advised by Stone, a longtime Republican operative. Unlike Paladino, Davis and Stone are enthusiastic marriage equality advocates.
Earlier this week, when trying to defend homophobic remarks to ultra-Orthodox Jewish leaders in Brooklyn, Paladino told Today host Matt Lauer that children should not be exposed to homosexuality.
"Especially at a Gay Pride parade," he said. "And I don't know if you've ever been to one -- but they wear these little Speedos and they grind against each other. And it's just a terrible thing."
