Calif. AG Race Could Decide Prop. 8
A liberal political action committee has produced a video urging California's gay voters to choose Democratic attorney general candidate Kamala Harris November 2 if they hope to do away with Proposition 8.
Harris, the current San Francisco city attorney, has promised if elected not to defend the antigay ballot measure should it make its way to the U.S. Supreme Court -- federal judge Vaughn Walker ruled Prop. 8 unconstitutional in August, and antigay groups are currently attempting to appeal his decision. Harris's opponent, Los Angeles city attorney Steve Cooley, has vowed to do the opposite.
