Police in Houston have arrested Lydell Grant in the fatal stabbing of Aaron Michael Scheerhoorn outside a gay club in the Montrose neighborhood last week.

Grant, 33, is charged with murder, according to KTRK-TV.

"Acting on a Crime Stoppers tip, investigators say they determined the identity of the suspect to be Grant," reports the news station. "He was arrested without incident during a traffic stop in the 3200 block of the South Loop West about 1 a.m. Wednesday."

Scheerhoorn, 28, was stabbed multiple times in front of witnesses who saw the suspect chasing him outside Club Blur at 710 Pacific late Friday. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
