Rachel Maddow spoke with some of the gay and lesbian service members whose advocacy made the once unlikely repeal of "don't ask, don't tell" a reality this year.

In a special show broadcast live Monday night from the 92nd Street Y in Manhattan, Maddow reviewed the developments of the year and her own previous comment that she found repeal "impossible to imagine."
Guests included Lt. Col. Victor Fehrenbach, West Point cadet Katie Miller, Maj. Mike Almy, and Capt. Jonathan Hopkins.
