Ten rare silkscreens from gay artist Keith Haring have been given to the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center, which is placing them on display.
The art, donated by Tyler Cassity, co-owner of the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, will be displayed through March 30 at the Center's Village at Ed Gould Plaza. The 1988 Apocalypse series is a departure from the usual work of Haring, who usually created playful human figures. Haring died of AIDS-related complications in 1990.
