Village Voice writer Michael Musto is reporting that Keith Lewis (right), head of the Miss California organization, says the antigay National Organization for Marriage is suing his group over Carrie Prejean's sex videos.
Musto says he saw Lewis at a Tuesday night performance of Sister Act in New York City. Musto writes that Lewis told him NOM is suing Miss California because the pageant organization allegedly released videos of Prejean masturbating. Prejean was Miss California 2009 -- she made headlines when she announced during the Miss USA pageant in 2009 that she doesn't support marriage equality (she was runner-up). The pageant queen soon cozied up to NOM and its figurehead, Maggie Gallagher, prompting her eventual dismissal from Miss California. After steamy videos of Prejean surfaced, she was dumped by NOM as well.
"Well, now we're being sued by NOM," Lewis says, according to Musto. "The suit has something to do with NOM accusing the pageant of releasing damaging (i.e. true) info about Carrie, as opposed to the press having dug it up by itself," Musto writes. Read the full story here.
Lewis could not immediately be reached for comment.
