Doctors were astounded Sunday when a 24-year-old man walked into a central Israel emergency room to tell them he was pregnant, according to YNet News.
The man is the first Israeli transgender person to ever become pregnant. He did have some transitional surgical procedures in the U.S., but he opted to not alter his reproductive organs.
"Everyone was in shock," said a hospital patient who witnessed the man walking in, "He looked like a man in every way and insisted that the medical staff address him as a male."
After a medical examination, he was released, and doctors reportedly said the pregnancy, now seven months along, will proceed normally.
