Antigay preacher Eddie Long, who last year was accused of using his position to coerce young men into sexual relations, announced on Sunday he was taking a sabbatical from his Georgia mega-church. The news comes two days after his wife announced her intention to divorce Long.
Vanessa Long announced early Friday she was leaving Long; she then oddly retracted her statements later in the day. Now, she is going through with it, she announced.
On Sunday, Long told his congregation at the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church that he is temporarily leaving the church to deal with his family situation. Read more here.
