For Some, Barney Frank's Message Can't Be Heard Over His T-shirt

What Barney Frank is wearing is rarely the subject of news reports. But numerous blogs point out that the retiring Massachusetts congressman appeared on the floor of the House last night dressed rather out of character.

He wore a suit jacket draped over a T-shirt (which they mock while ignoring what was said) and then appeared on The Rachel Maddow Show in the shirt. Included in the fashion reporting have been RealClearPolitics, The Atlantic, Daily Mail, The Huffington Post, and others. Frank injured his thumb, according to reports, and the cast appears to have affected his wardrobe.

All of the hubbub about a T-shirt has overshadowed the pointed criticism Frank has been making of House Republicans for failing to pass an extension of the payroll tax cut, and for appearing to want to sabotage the economy's comeback.
