A black preacher has delivered a fiery sermon against antigay church leaders.

Captured in a YouTube video posted Thursday, Pastor E. Dewey Smith spoke out at the House of Hope, Greater Travelers Rest Baptist Church in Decatur, Ga., against the hypocrisy of those that preach hate.

Speaking to a cheering crowd, Smith pointed out that many of those who denounce same-sex attraction as sin will "change wives like we change underwear."

Moreover, Smith ripped the lid off what many believe to be an open secret in black churches -- that many of its choirs are led by and populated with closeted gay people, an experience chronicled in recent films like Blackbird and the play Sweet Tea.

Smith accused church leaders of profiting off of the services that these volunteers provide, while singing a different tune of hatred to their congregations.

"We demonize and dehumanize the same people that we use, and we don't say nothing about the gay choir director because he's good for business," Smith said. "As long as the choir sound good, I ain't saying nothing about his sexuality."

"We have done what the slave master did to us," he stated. "Dehumanize us, degrade us, demonize us, but then use them for our advantage."
