John Mayer Drops F, N Bombs

JOHN MAYER X390 (GETTY) | ADVOCATE.COM

John Mayer took to his Twitter Wednesday to apologize for using the n word in his recent interview with Playboy, but now comes word Mayer also used the f word while talking about gossip blogger Perez Hilton.

The San Francisco Chronicle has an excerpt of his interview, in which he says Hilton is the only man he’s ever kissed, but he only did it to prove that he could “outgay this guy.”

From the interview:

Playboy:
Among the things we’ve read about you online is this: You’re gay. Have you ever kissed a man?
Mayer: The only man I’ve kissed is Perez Hilton. It was New Year’s Eve and I decided to go out and destroy myself. I was dating Jessica at the time, and I remember seeing Perez Hilton flitting about this club and acting as though he had just invented homosexuality. All of a sudden I thought, I can outgay this guy right now. I grabbed him and gave him the dirtiest, tongue-iest kiss I have ever put on anybody ... almost as if I hated fags. I don’t think my mouth was even touching when I was tongue kissing him, that’s how disgusting this kiss was. I’m a little ashamed. I think it lasted about half a minute. I really think it went on too long.

Mayer has come under fire this week for his comments about black women in the same article. With regard to sleeping with black women, Mayer says, “My dick is sort of like a white supremacist. I’ve got a Benetton heart and a fuckin’ David Duke cock. I’m going to start dating separately from my dick.”

Perez Hilton is a crap spewing mutherfucking fleck of smegma that can't hold a candle to the intellect and abilities of John Mayer. I am sick to death of Fags calling each other Fags but no one else can. Blacks call each other Nigger. I know Italians who still say WOP and Guido on TV shows! ...PC can only go so far. One more article on Perez Hilton and I'm cancelling my Advocate subscription. If I want that level of news reporting I'll read the stall walls in the restroom!

I think john should be applauded for his honesty, and I don't find either statement offensive in context. This is media making something out of very little.

You didn't need to apologize, John. Perez Hilton needs to apologize to humanity. Why Alexander McQueen and not him?

I don't know why any of you guys would even want to claim him for "our side"! Oof, his music is blah, he's kinda ugly (hate the tats), & it seems like he's always dressed like a bag of dirty laundry. And now his comments about "n's" & how his dick is a "white supremacist" like David Duke! Oooh that's nasty. Plus do any of you guys actually listen to his music? That's sad - the only place I ever hear John Mayer's music is the supermarket.

I love John Mayer and who cares if he uses the "f" word, I use it all the time. My only disappointment is that the kiss was not with me. I would love to see what he is packing.

Poor John. I have been a fan since "Room for Squares" began its organic buzz. I have always enjoyed his music. But now with these two back to back interviews in Rolling Stone and now Playboy, he clearly needs to take a break and reassess his need to be a "media darling". I knew when I saw the "n" word, being a man of color, I knew he would face a firestorm. There is even a very unnecessary comment about doing things to Perez Hilton in the rear. I mean really John, is that necessary to even associate with the likes of Perez. And for those of us who are gay and are his fans, hearing of your skanky sexual escapades with that skank, Jessica Simpson, does not have a modicum of appeal. John will survive this because despite his belief that he has a lot of support in the black community, that support does not translate into any measurable sales, I am sure. However, his YouTube confession was more pathetic than empathetic.

Rick in Charlotte - I agree with you, some of the content that The Advocate chooses to run is really not professional at all, a new editor is indeed needed!
