CBS orders six episodes of new Nathan Lane sitcom

Variety reports that CBS has given a six-episode order to Life of the Party, a new midseason replacement comedy that will star Nathan Lane. The out actor will play an actor-turned-congressman. Life of the Party, Lane's first big job since his Tony-winning stint with The Producers, will wait in the wings for the cancellation of new series on CBS's fall docket.
