Sarah Palin Defends Dr. Laura

"Mama Grizzly" Sarah Palin roared to the defense of Dr. Laura Schlessinger, who announced she would retire from her radio show after dropping a racist rant last week.

PerezHilton.com reports on the supportive tweets Palin directed to Dr. Laura on Wednesday:

"Dr.Laura:don't retreat…reload! (Steps aside bc her 1st Amend.rights ceased 2exist thx 2activists trying 2silence"isn't American,not fair")

Dr.Laura=even more powerful & effective w/out the shackles, so watch out Constitutional obstructionists. And b thankful 4 her voice,America!"

Palin may face an uphill battle with her appeals. Schlessinger appeared on Larry King Live on CNN Tuesday and  announced that she plans to leave her program when her contract expires at the end of the year.
