Aubrey Plaza is once again showing why she’s one of the ultimate Queens of Halloween.
And just like that, Aubrey Plaza has dropped a Halloween bombshell on The View — proving yet again that she’s one of our most cherished Halloween icons.
Plaza appeared on The View this week to promote her latest children's book. During said interview, Plaza told one of the main hosts of the talk show, Joy Behar, that she [Plaza] was the ghost Behar had claimed to have slept with years ago. Dating back to 2022, Plaza started a recurring bit with Behar about being somehow involved with the ghosts that The View cohost had sex with.
During her latest appearance on The View this week, Plaza added a new layer to this hilarious, long-running dynamic with Behar, and also brought the story full circle.
Plaza went on the show promoting her children's book, Luna and the Witch Throw a Halloween Party, when panelist Sunny Hostin reminded the table of Behar's ghostly adventures.
Plaza recalled, “Shortly before you joined us for our Halloween show, Joy revealed she had sex with a ghost. I don't know if you guys remember that. She did.”
"I did? Why? I was making it up. It must've been a dream, I was having a dream," a befuddled Behar replied.
“I have an announcement," Plaza teased, adding: “Well, Joy, the thing that you didn't know is you didn't have sex with my ex-ghost. You had sex with me! I was the ghost. I'm a shapeshifter — and I was the ghost you had sex with."
"Wait till they get a load of that on Entertainment Weekly!" Behar laughed. "If you thought the ghost was bad, this'll be hot!”
This all goes back to a 2022 episode of the show when Behar dropped a bombshell. As the story goes, the hosts of The View were talking about a woman who alleged she had "sexual ghosts" in her home. When cohost Sara Haines asked if a person could get pregnant from having sex with a ghost, Behar had a confident answer.
"I've had sex with a few ghosts and never got pregnant," Behar blurted out.
“Let me just set the record straight, OK? It’s all true,” Behar later clarified. “It’s all true. I have had sex with ghosts. Casper was not a generous lover. The menage a trois, it was almost like having sex with myself. So yes, it’s true, ladies and gentlemen.”

When she was on a Halloween episode of the show later that year, Plaza joined in on the bit.
"I have a score to settle with you," Plaza said to Behar as she sat on the couch wearing a witch costume. "You know what you did. You had sex with my ghost. And that was my ghost!"
"You saw through his little thingie, didn't you? I'm the only one allowed to see through it!"
"But he ghosted me right after that," Behar joked.
