Major Hollywood studios are making a point to look at projects through the eyes of special interest groups, according to Inside.com. This new sensitivity is good business sense, a lesson learned by Paramount TV when it became the target of gay activists for continuing to run Laura Schlessingers advice show in spite of her rather regressive views on the nature of homosexuality. Once the queen of the radio advice mavens, Schlessinger managed to arouse the ire of gay rights groups when she declared that homosexuality is an aberrant behavior and a choice. Although still running, Schlessingers show now airs primarily in the wee hours of the morning in the markets where it runs at all.
