WATCH: Wild Ponies Preach 'Love Is Not a Sin'

Country and roots music fans may already know Wild Ponies. The Nashville act, fronted by husband-wife duo Doug and Telisha Williams, saw their last album, the twangy Things That Used To Shine, land on the Americana Music Associations Top 40 for a solid six months.

This week Wild Ponies release "Love Is Not a Sin," and they hope the harmony-soaked tune becomes a pro-equality, "pro-love in all its forms" anthem. "It's a strange time. People are upset about love, and upset that other people want to put more of it in the world and live their lives together," songwriter Doug says in a press release for the song. "I don't really understand that."

The song finds Williams and his wife singing:

It doesn't matter who you love

When two lovers find each other

I'd say it's sanctioned from above

For the video, the band requested photos of fans posing with their sweeties, making it clear that all love is welcome. As a result, the clip features an arrray of gorgeous, diverse couples that reflect the kind of love one finds in real life.
