The Dave Matthews Band, Michelle Branch, and Missy Elliot filmed a concert last week in Seattle that will air on MTV on December 1 to commemorate World AIDS Day. MTV will tape another concert on November 23 in Cape Town, South Africa, featuring Alicia Keys and rapper Sean "P. Diddy" Combs that also will be broadcast on December 1. MTV estimates that 2 billion people will view the concerts on its various international channels. The concerts are sponsored by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Microsoft cofounder Paul Allen, and Levi Strauss and Co.
