A Maine superior court last week sentenced the former executive director of the Maine AIDS Alliance, Randall Norcross, 65, to three years in jail, with all but six months suspended, for stealing more than $23,000 from the group. In addition, Norcross was ordered to pay $23,569 in restitution and will be on probation for four years after his release. Norcross pleaded guilty in October to theft, admitting he wrote unauthorized checks in lieu of four weeks' annual vacation time that he said he negotiated but could not take since he was MAA's sole full-time employee.
