The Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center's Jeffrey Goodman Special Care Clinic is now offering flu vaccinations to all adults, according to a press release by the center. The expanded access to the vaccine was made available through increased availability of the shot and the lifting of government restrictions on vaccine access. "We had a sufficient supply to vaccinate our HIV/AIDS patients, who have the greatest risk of complications from the flu," said Quentin O'Brien, the center's director of health and mental health services, "and were successful in acquiring a larger supply that we could make available to the entire community." The vaccine is now available at the gay and lesbian center for $10; it's also offered for free to HIV-positive adults. For more information on hours of vaccine availability, call (323) 993-7500, ext. 3.
