Chicago's
Howard Brown Health Center, which focuses on providing
health care services to the city's gay and
lesbian population as well as HIV-positive Chicagoans,
has named Michael C. Cook to serve as the
agency's president and CEO effective October 24, the
Chicago Free Press reports. Cook currently serves
as executive director of Chicago's Interfaith House and is a
member of the American Civil Liberties Union's
national board and the governing board of the Chicago
Continuum on Care. He is a former president of the
Illinois chapter of the ACLU and as board chairman of
