George Michael will sit behind Eminem at Grammys
According to a Reuters photograph, Eminem will encounter another gay pop idol besides his duet partner Elton John--George Michael will sit behind the rapper at Wednesday night's Grammy Awards. British tabloid The Sun reports, "A Grammy insider said: 'Officially, the seating was random. But word is the organizers thought it might be a bit of fun.'" Gay rights groups and other activists plan to picket Eminem's participation in the awards due to his controversial lyrics. Elton John still plans to duet with Eminem on "Stan," from Eminem's The Marshall Mathers LP, which is up for Best Album. Sir Elton told the Los Angeles Times, "As a gay artist, I'm asked by a lot of people, 'But what about the content of Eminem's music?' I think there is far more humor on the album than people think. It appeals to my English black sense of humor."<
