Sparse showing for gays and lesbians at Grammys
Outside of Nathan Lane's participation in the soundtrack album for The Producers (Best Musical Show Album) or that elaborate Billie Holiday boxed set (Lady Day: The Complete Billie Holiday on Columbia
1933-1944, which was voted Best Historical Album), gay and lesbian artists were hard to spot among the winners of the 44th annual Grammy Awards. This year's big winners include newcomer Alicia Keys, veteran rockers U2, and the O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack.
