The man who helped author Terry McMillan get her groove back is now officially her ex-husband. Nine months of legal wrangling stirred up after McMillan learned that husband Jonathan Plummer is gay are now over, and their divorce is finally final. San Francisco Chronicle columnists Matier and Ross report that the author of How Stella Got Her Groove Back managed to walk away without a huge financial penalty. A divorce commissioner ruled that the 30-year-old Plummer had no grounds for challenging the prenuptial agreement he signed in 1998 with McMillan, who's 14 years his senior. Attorneys for both sides say Plummer will get about $50,000, including $10,000 in spousal support--enough to help set him up in his newly chosen career as a hairstylist. (Sirius OutQ News)
