Marriage Wont Come Between These NY Pols

Even though many are furious with New York state senator Andrew Lanza (right) for voting against same-sex marriage on Wednesday, there is one person who isn't -- gay state assemblyman Matthew Titone.

Both men represent portions of Staten Island, but Titone is a Democrat and Lanza a Republican. "If anyone thinks that Andy misled anyone, it's not true," Titone told State Island Live. Titone, who socializes with Lanza, claims the senator was always clear about which way he would vote.

Titone reaffirmed his commitment to lobbying Lanza to change his mind, adding, "We have done great things together."
