Heroes star Greg Grunberg is sorry for a pair of tweets he posted earlier this month making fun of Chaz Bono.

The actor was called out by trans author Kate Bornstein and bloggers for The Bilerico Project for a tweet in which he suggested that Bono should play his character in the Heroes movie.

Later, he tweeted that "she let himself go."

Eventually, the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation got involved and posted a story on its blog saying people should directly e-mail Grunberg and request an apology.

On Wednesday it happened. Grunberg posted the following tweet: "For the 2nd & final time, sorry 2 Chaz & my Trans-fans. Nice 2 see a community stand together. I meant NO disrespect."
