The British Broadcasting Corporation's Jane Hill -- a well-spoken, well-liked 40-year-old anchor -- has come out as gay and partnered.

Hill came out to Ariel, the BBC's in-house magazine, and spoke of her partner, Sara, and their dog, Mavis. According to a colleague, Hill has long been out at the BBC and has had other girlfriends, though many feel she's finally found "the one."

Hill gained fans and critical acclaim for her reporting on subjects like Hurricane Katrina, 9/11, and the election of Barack Obama, reports The Daily Mail.
