Attendees at Christopher Street West, this weekend's gay pride celebration in Los Angeles, will have the opportunity to throw a tea bag through the "mouth" of politicians, including Sarah Palin, courtesy of a tea bag toss presented by the city's Log Cabin Republicans chapter.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, L.A. Log Cabin president Scott Schmidt said the effort, in which participants will have to purchase a tea bag, intends to reach out to the LGBT community.
"We figured this year we ought to take it up a notch and do something that is engaging and somewhat amusing and shows that we can even laugh at ourselves," said Schmidt.
Participants will take aim at three politicians' images mounted on a game board, including California attorney general and Democratic gubernatorial nominee Jerry Brown, House speaker Nancy Pelosi, and former vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin.
Schmidt told the Chronicle that Palin was included in an effort to be bipartisan and that the Republican did raise the sales tax while mayor of Wasilla, Alaska.
