A homophobic clip that shows Alabama radio hosts Rick Burgess and Bill "Bubba" Bussey mocking the LGBT Pride Month declaration from President Barack Obama churned through the gay blogosphere Friday morning.
The clip, posted by Pam Spaulding at Pam's House Blend, shows Burgess and Bussey, who broadcast on WZZK and XM Radio as they contrast their "biblical world view" with the notion of what they call "fornication pride month."
A Facebook page urges members to boycott sponsors of the show.
Burgess, meanwhile, issued a message on the WZZK website about his remarks, but he did not apologize.
"The comments that were made by me on the Rick and Bubba show concerning the president's proclamation for the month of June to be declared national gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender month were made from my biblical world view and by no means was intended to offend or alienate anyone who doesn't share my point of view," Burgess said.
The clip with Burgess and Bussey appears below.
