The last time President Obama appeared on The View, it was 2008 -- and he was a presidential nominee. Now, with his approval ratings at an all time low according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll, Obama is looking to improve his image with a return visit to The View -- the first sitting U.S. president to appear on the talk show.
In 2008, Obama joked with the ladies, comparing his looks to those of Brad Pitt and calling himself the tough skinny kid who can stand up to Republican bullies in the playground of politics. Now, Obama will likely use his airtime to talk about for more serious issues including the passage of financial regulatory reform, the BP oil spill, and his advances in the health care industry.
But with LGBT issues a frequent topic of discussion on The View, will the president discuss "don't ask, don't tell" or other gay issues of the moment. Watch The View to find out.
