New York representative Anthony Weiner took on the his fellow lawmakers, his own last name, and gay marriage at the annual Congressional Correspondents' Dinner.
Despite being painted as a far-left politico, Weiner joked that he and Democratic leader "Nancy Pelosi ... and I hold many positions that represent the mainstream of heartland America. For example, both of us believe in mandatory gay marriage."
The representative for Brooklyn and Queens also joked about Rep. Michele Bachmann, a controversial Tea Party favorite who is considering a run for the Republican nomination for president in 2012.
"I don't know if she is here. She's probably not. She's campaigning in Iowa and organizing in that important caucus state because she's running for president. That's really all I have for that joke."
